The study of gender inequality has always been one of the most discussed topics, since remote times, so it is found as one of the first most important historical milestones, today it is still one of the most controversial links and its scrutiny manages to remove the smoke screens that often do not allow us to see the social reality, therefore, the general objective is to analyze gender inequality in Latin America as a challenge of SDG # 5, a study that is justified by wanting to deepen the objectives of sustainable development; In fact, the results show that Regardless of the sexual orientation of each individual, no one has the right to discriminate based on sex, or commit acts that violate equality between men and women, since they impede progress towards an inclusive society. The applied methodology is based on a descriptive investigation, under a qualitative approach, with an inductive method, having as sources of primary information collection the news from countries such as Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Venezuela, etc., in the same way the jurisprudential and academic analysis of scientific articles from Scielo, Google Scholar and Dialnet. To finalize the implementation of the sustainable development goals, it helps to have a broad vision of the different problems that all countries have, the fact of generating indicators and goals helps to have a clear vision, however, their breadth makes it difficult to pass from formalization to materialization.en_US
