Factores que representan los mayores riesgos para la salud mental de los estudiantes universitarios en la ciudad de barranquilla

Abstract

The mental health of university students in Colombia has become a growing concern due to the multiplicity of factors that can affect their well-being. In a demanding academic environment, these young people face a series of challenges that not only impact their academic performance, but also their emotional stability. The general objective is to understand the factors that represent the greatest risks to the mental health of university students in the city of Barranquilla. From this, the specific objectives arise which will help us to better develop and these are to review the mental health route of the Rafael Núñez University Corporation and to describe the different factors that students in the city of Barranquilla go through. Current research on mental health in university students is essential for several reasons. Firstly, the university stage can be very stressful due to the study load, social pressure and transitions in life. The methodology to be used employs a historical - Hermeneutic paradigm, it has a mixed approach for the exact accounting of data, an inductive research method, a type of descriptive research, it has the population of students from Colombia and its sample is the students of Barranquilla, the instruments or tools and techniques used were document analysis and interviews, the sources of information are primary and secondary, since it contains documented information and captured in books, magazines and opinion articles. Byung-chul han's book "the society of fatigue". The main conclusion is that mental health is a factor that should be given greater attention because otherwise it could lead to a much bigger problema
